Shawn B. Hunter, better known as Nattural aka Natt-Traxx, is a talented producer, composer, and artist developer born and raised in East Orange, New Jersey. With a keen ear for music, Nattural honed his gift not in a music class, but by practice. Having played various brass instruments throughout his youth, Natt-Traxx learned the hip-hop essential art of beat making by recording overdubbing pieces of other songs until he had the track he wanted. Such an endeavor at a young age not only displays creativity and skills, but also an uncanny desire for perfection.
Nattural’s commercial music career began in 1996 with the production of the album “My Life” by Hangmen, group he was a part of. Following in the same year he produced “Rotten 2 the core” for Rottin Rascal. Proven his talent Nattural also recognized as Natt-Trax produced for Soul for Real on their Grammy Award nominee album “For Life”. In 1997 Natt-Traxx produced for Eminem with Rockus Records; he also produced “Rated Next” for Next who won American Music award “artist of the year”. Nattural then participated in the 5 Grammy Award winner album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”, this gave Nattural’s career a huge step-up opening a door to produce for Naughty by Nature’s “Natures Fury” in 1999 with over 800,000 copies sold.
During the following years Natt-Trax continued to extend his catalogue with productions for Kanye West, Brian Jackson, Fuggees unreleased album, Stepon Marley, Peadie Crack, Freeway, Red Man, Beanie Seagal, Queen Latifah, among the most recognized. In 2003 Natt-Trax collaborated in the American music Award winner “album of the year” by Wyclef “Preacher’s son”. From 2004 to 2006 Natt-Trax produced and composed for artists such Busy B, Biz Markie, Kid Capri, Jasmine Sullivan, Jim Jones, Le la James. Before 2006 came to an end, Natt-Trax was showing his great natural talent by producing “The Take Over” an Urban Latin album by artist Enko, under Star-Dome Latino, label owned and founded by Nattural. Another great year for Natt-Trax was 2007 when he produced “Jangueo” by Wisin & Yandel featuring Fat Joe for their Grammy Award winner “album of the year” “Los Extraterrestres”. Adding to the greatness of 2007, Nattural produced “Keep it 100” for Jaheim’s “The Making of a Man” album which sold over 1.3 million copies. Expanding through the Latino market, Natt-Trax and Star-Dome Latino produced “Baby Ranks Mi Flow This is It” released in 2008 and still selling copies every week.
Currently, Nattural is prepared to release a compilation of some of his great productions, named “From Analog to Digital” under his label Star-Dome Entertainment, LLC. Nattural continues to produce and place records on successful albums. Natt-Trax is also fulfilling his natural desire to help others by conducting classes and training for vocal development, studio recording and producing. He also runs a recording studio facility Platinum Touch Recording Studio that is dedicated to artist development from coaching and recording to publicity and marketing. Nattural, a long time fan of Dr. Dre wants to develop relationships with artists that lead to undeniably classic songs, thereby establishing yet another great legacy!
